HISTORY; Elena's parents are two ageless angels. They've been around practically forever, though they hardly look 40. They have devoted their eternal lives to bringing peace about the world. Before Elena they had two other children, Lana and Zohar, both of them hundreds of years apart. The family spent their lives traveling the world. By the time Elena was born her sister was almost two thousand, her brother in his seven hundreds. Though Elena's whole family (especially her parents) were very loving, they were also distant. Elena grew up loved, but her family was usually very busy with their quests towards peace, and they didn't have much time for her.
She also spent most of her childhood traveling. Her parents were like missionaries, traveling the world bringing peace where they went. Because of all this travel Elena never had time to go to school, so she was taught by one of her parents or siblings. By the time she was ten she could read and write in English, French, Latin, Spanish and Hebrew. She was also brought up to be very religious. Since her family are angels they are full of faith and do believe in heaven and God very strongly. While Elena loved her family dearly none of them were ever truly close, due to the huge age differences. She also found her mother very aloof and other-worldly, her father very passionate, and her siblings were mysteries to her.
As a child, spending much of her time along Elena developed a strong love music. She taught herself how to play guitar, piano, and the violin, and she also had an "angelic" singing voice. Music became her passion and she devoted much of her time to it. She also developed a strong love of art, specifically drawing. In her time she honed these abilities, and they made the lack of time spent with her family much more bearable.
When she was eleven Elena's parents decided it was in her best interest to go to Brookland Academy, where she could be around other supernatural beings her age. At Brookland she had much more time for her art and music. She was also around people her own age for the first time in her life, and it was surreal to her at first. Elena loves Brookland, though she does miss her family at times. She hasn't seen her family much during her years at Brookland, only when needed, as they are still traveling the world most of the time. At Brookland she decided to use the English version of her last name, as Lavan is Hebrew for White.
She hasn't seen her siblings in about three years now, though she saw her mother a few months ago. Ilona thought that she better pay her daughter a visit. During this meeting Elena still found her mother very aloof, she was kind and loving as always, but forever distant. The one thing Elena doesn't realize is that not all families are like this, that some parents are close with their children, talk to them, spend time with and really know them.

(You know Javier,) She spoke quietly, and in fast and fluent Spanish, though she didn't look up from her notebook to look at him. "Usted realmente no debe molestar a Sr. Ortiz. Por bueno que esté en español él todavía le podría fallar. Estaría en mi mejor comportamiento si fui usted. El no es la Sra. Sanchez, él no piensa que es gracioso." (You really shouldn't annoy Mr. Ortiz. No matter how good you are at Spanish he could still fail you. I'd be on my best behaviour if i were you. He's not Ms. Sanchez, he doesn't think you're funny.) She didn't say anything else and instead tried to rework part of the dialogue in her story, listening to Mr. Ortiz subconsciously and waiting to hear what Javier would have to say to her warning. She didn't really care if he listened to her warning or not. She knew he would probably disregard it, at least when he got in trouble again she could say she tried to warn him. Ella just couldn't in good conscience let someone get in trouble over and over when it was something that could be prevented so easily.
[/blockquote][/blockquote]ALIAS; Bay
GENDER; Female
TIME ZONE; Eastern
CONTACT; Pm, MSN (by request only)
EXPERIENCE; Almost two years
RPING SAMPLE;Ella was busy reworking her story as the teacher took attendance. She raised her hand and called out "¡Aquí!" (Here!) When Mr. Ortiz called her name off the roll call. They were required to speak Spanish almost all the time, including during roll call. This was Spanish IV, they weren't freshmen anymore, and Mr. Ortiz was a tough teacher. Not that it was any trouble for her, she had been speaking Spanish most of her life. The amusing part was that Mr. Ortiz was supposed to be fluent in Spanish, but he made mistakes more often than she did, something he did not enjoy anyone pointing out. Ella missed her old Spanish teacher, Ms. Sanchez, who had been a young and energetic Hispanic lady. She had transferred schools last year, and Ella had been quite upset over that. Ms. Sanchez had always been one of her favourite teachers.
Javier, as usual, was late for class. And Ella barely looked up from her notebook when he did come into class. She was busy working on her story and didn't even pay attention to his excuse, though the rest of the class was. Javier was known for being a class clown, and whatever his excuse was it made the class laugh. Javier made his way to his desk at the back, he sat in the desk on her left, and there was the general ruckus of students slapping him on the back and congratulating him for his latest way of ticking of their teacher. He took his seat and Mr. Ortiz began the lesson, Ella wasn't paying much attention though, the class was review for her, she could get by with only half paying attention, besides he was talking about applying Spanish in normal conversation, something she'd been doing on her own since elementary school.
"Sabe Javier,"
