HISTORY; Taelor Raven Giff was born as a curse - half-vampire, half-gifted human. It wasn't enough that Taelor couldn't just be a monstrous creature of the night - no, he just had to be a disgrace to his family. So, in an act of banishment, the Giff family shunned Taelor, his father, and Taelor's half-siblings. Well, what else could go wrong? Oh, nothing other than watching your own older cousin, Zane, stake your mom. Not to mention that Taelor was only five when it happened. A thirteen-year-old with a blood-soaked wooden stake wasn't a pretty sight.
Growing up with a guilty father and two half-siblings who were only related through hi deceased mother, Taelor never had a stable childhood within his family. His only comfort was his best friend, Rhylie Brewer. Rhylie was somebody who understood and accepted Taelor for the mutant-mixed freak he was. Regardless of their five year difference, the two were inseparable. They didn't have enough time together, though.
Everything went wrong when Taelor turned 11. Zane - the infamous hated cousin - used his power of memory manipulation to temporarily push all trace of Rhylie Brewer to the deepest and darkest corners of Taelor's mind. And why would anybody in their right mind do this? Well... let's just say that Zane had some paranoid theory that Taelor would start some mutant-vampire freak bloodline through Rhylie. And just to make super duper 100% sure that Taelor and Rhylie wouldn't see each other for years to come, Zane dragged Taelor off to the Brookland Academy for supernaturalfreaks.
Nothing had been changed in Taelor's mind. He never remembered Rhylie and thus, never remembered their friendship and all the happiness that came from it. There was just one big empty space. But that didn't bother him until he started seeing her around the academy. A girl - she could have been any random girl, really - who caught his eye one day. It was just a one-glance thing, small smiles exchanged, and yet, it caused something to click in Taelor's mind. He started to see her more often and the memories began slowly trickling back into his mind. Her name was Rhylie Brewer. That was all he remembered but at least it was better than nothing. After leaving Brookland Academy as a student, Taelor returned as a teacher - he wasn't planning on leaving the academy for anything. And the most particular name on his roster? Rhylie Brewer.

RPING SAMPLE;Trevor didn't feel in the mood to actually go to the Halloween party, partially because Rainier would be there. No, wait, 100% percent because Rainier would be there. The only reason he attended - not even bothering to wear a costume - was to keep an eye over the person that was 10 times worse than him: his impulsive, short-tempered, unpredictable, currently high, and pain-of-a-sister Lizabeth. But he loved her, of course, regardless that they were at each other's throats more times a day than Trevor could keep track of.
Straightening his jacket for no apparent reason, Trevor found himself leaning against a wall, doing nothing. How typical. After his earlier conversation with Liz - in which he noticed her bloodshot eyes, a very obvious sign that she was high -, Trevor didn't feel very chatty. His eyes scanned the crowd, noting his goody-two-shoes brother with Izzy and an absence of Madison Corner. Oh, riiiight. She was in the hospital again. But Trevor's anger was already wasted on a poor wall in the Room of Requirement earlier and all he felt now was a tingle of frustration. Another scan of the crowd finally made him notice Rainier offering her hand to a older Ravenclaw. He frowned and directed himself toward his... was it even girlfriend? On and off? None of the above? It was complicated and made Trevor's head hurt.
Approaching Rain and the Ravenclaw - who he determined to absolutely be a seventh year -, Trevor purposely wrapped his arm around Rainier's waist. "Hey there. I hope my girlfriend isn't bothering you or anything." He sent an obnoxious smirk toward Rain and proceeded to half-pull half-lead her away from the Ravenclaw, "We need to talk." His tone, although slightly rude and demanding, was neither angry nor held any hint of a violent tendency as it used to. He was tired of being angry at this girl.
Leaving the party hall, Trevor let go of Rain's waist and quickly moved himself to the opposite wall, as far from Rain as possible so she couldn't hit him, but still within speaking distance. "You remember that texito, the one right after my.. uh, suicide attempt?" That was how he started most of his conversations with Rain nowadays. You remember and then insert question here. It was like a scrapbook. The only way for their relationship - or whatever it was - to repair was through memories. A time when they smiled at each other, a time where they weren't constantly angry at the other and taking out their rage on a wall - the good memories were few and only lasted for minutes at a time before one of them provoked the other. "I asked for you to forgive for anything I might do in the future to harm you... us. I was right. I screwed up, didn't I?" He forced out a harsh and strained chuckle, "I'm sorry. For.. Heck, I don't even know anymore. We just fight so fucking much. I can't remember what we last argued about..." He ran a hand through his hair, feeling that earlier tingle of frustration turn into a burning flame. He was so very close to being angry. "I'm just sorry. I don't know what for. Everything? Yeah, that's it. I'm sorry for everything. I'm sorry for who I am - my temper, my threats, my anger..." A frustrated sigh came from him as he finally looked Rain in the eyes, his pale blue eyes softening, "But.. but I don't want to screw up again. Never again. Why? Because... I love you, Rainier Erikson."
