HISTORY;
Xander's life started due to...well his parents. The two shifters met ten years before Xander was even born. His parents were in an arranged marriage that would bring his mother's family out of debt and once she was old enough, the two were wed. A few years later, Xander came into their lives. He was a generally happy child, curious and always getting into trouble. The first time he shifted was when he was 4, and he accidently scared a neighbor's kid, which his parents had to sort out with the parent of the child. Aside from that nothing really troubled the family in the early years, even though there was a growing panic around them. Humans were slowly learning of the supernatural world back then and most of them still didn't believe as much that did today. But, the danger was still around back then and soon it would find the Kang's.
His childhood was really unchanging. He went to school like a normal child would, make friends, gain enemies, get decent grades, the usual. He didn't start to change until he headed into his last year of middle school. After turning 13, things were starting to get different for him. He had trouble seeing out of his left eye through out the school year, black dots dancing into his vision every few days. Bringing it up, his parents had gotten him checked out, but everything seemed alright. Xander decided to let it go and to live with it, but he was still worried about going blind.
Entering high school probably meant the last year of happiness for him till he came to Brookland. That was the year that most humans finally started to fully understand that the world around them wasn't as "nice" as they thought it was. At first, Xander wasn't one of the few supernatural kids at the school that had gotten bullied. Because he was so "human" in comparison, no one suspected a thing. That was, until the kid he had scared when he was little came back into his life. He started to spread rumors about Xander being able to change shape and soon the once popular kid turned into the public's number one enemy. Sure, he wasn't as big as a threat a vampire or werewolf might have been, but because of his animal form, he was a threat that had to be eliminated or kicked out as soon as possible.
Xander started to come home with bruises and cuts, but he was never really injured. The ones that attacked him usually went home with a broken arm or gashes, so the parents started to complain. Sure, Xander was the victim, but because he wasn't "normal" he was targeted as the bully. Threats poured in, most of them death ones, and the family found themselves on the brink of moving. Xander was to be sent away to this school for people like him while his parents went into hiding somewhere else in the world. It would've been a smooth transition if not for a riot that broke out in the town.
His mother had been working close to the riot and left early, in fear that the humans who were part of the riot would come after her. She had been walking away from it when gunshots were fired and a stray bullet hit her right in the back. Because she hadn't come home at the time they were supposed to leave, Xander and his father went out in search of her, finding her bleeding in an alley way. They tried to take her to the hospital, but because of the casualities, the hospital wasn't takng any more patients. Xander watched his mother die in his father's arms before they separated.
Xander showed up at Brookland when he was 16, and slowly made friends. He was quiet, and a little shelled up, but after a while of figuring out he was safe and no one was really bugging him, Xander came out from his little dark hole to make friends. Ever since he made that decision, he's gotten very well known and rose in the ranks. After three years, Xander was appointed leader of the shifters and has been for the past year. Lately, the blindness in his left eye has come back and has been getting worse.

RPING SAMPLE;"I will promise you this. The next time we see each other, I'm going to kill you. I will not let you terrorize people or me any longer!"
Those were the words she threatened him with. Sophie leaned against the bar table, the hard bass pulsing through her veins, as her words echoed through her head. She was trying to listen to the song, trying to distract herself from the horrid promise she made, but with every note, her voice came back. She pushed her head into her hands, hiding her eyes from everyone around her. Vince...he had changed so much since they last saw each other, back in Italy. Well, he hadn't changed drastically, but was more of a sadistic killer now. She let out a loud sigh, shifting on the bar stool, her butt aching. She had been in the bar since it opened and the night was dragging on. Nothing interested her these days...except Vince.
Hell, the one night stand she had with a shifter was fun, but it barely did anything for her. She was temporarily distracted, but in the end, she gained no pleasure from that incident. Then she met that witch girl, and accidently brought some hidden feelings out from the girl. Sure, they didn't do anything and the girl was great company, but she mentioned having a soulmate worrying over her being out so late. Back then, Sophie wished Vince would've worried about her as much as this girl's soulmate did. That witch was lucky, she didn't have a bi-polar killer for a soulmate.
Sophie lifted her head, resting her chin on her hands as she stared at the bottles in front of her. The colored lights danced over the glass and she seemed to be hypnotized by them before someone tapped her shoulder. Blinking, Sophie turned her head and was staring into the eyes of a gorgeous man. A sly grin came to her face as she noticed blood pulsing through the veins in his neck, quickly making sure this guy was a human before making her decision. "Hey lovely, you alone tonight?" he asked, grabbing the stool next to her. Sophie looked around her playfully before looking back at him, tugging a little at the beanie on her head. "I'm only alone if you want me to be," she said, her voice as smooth as silk.
The human eyed her, a handsome grin spreading across his face.
The next thing she knew, the both of them were outside the club, clinging to each other as their tongues danced within his mouth. She pushed him against the wall, he seemed to enjoy being topped, and shoved her mouth back against his. He let out soft moans, exciting her, until he let out a tiny cry. She blinked, pulling back as she tasted blood on the edge of her lower lip. The human brought a hand up to his mouth, and when he pulled his fingers away blood glistening in the light. "You...bit me!" he said, sounding a little worried. Sophie looked at the blood, her stomach growling slightly at the sight. The urge to not only bite him again, but to bite herself grew. "I'm...sorry, I got carried away," she whispered, trying to get close to him again.
The human tried to inch away, but Sophie kept up on him, her eyes wide with innocence. She could feel uncertainty running through his being and that was when screams echoed in the night. Sophie turned her head, staring in the direction where they had come from the same instant the human boy did. While he was distracted, she lunged at him, pushing his head out of the way and sinking her fangs deep into his neck. She tore the vein open, before drinking him dry and tossing his dead body to the ground. Rubbing her arm over her mouth, Sophie cleaned her lips and looked down at the lifeless body. She had to get rid of that...
Walking through the alleys, a blanket over the dead body (one she found in that alley way by the club), Sophie managed upon another club and decided to dump the body there. That was when she noticed movement in the alley across from hers and her chest tightened. No...he wasn't here! He couldn't be! Where they always going to end up in the same cities now? She dropped the dead human, knowing the police would never be able to find her even if they had evidence against her. Humans were stupid...besides, there were more prints on his body than hers. She edged towards the street, trying to keep her shoes from making any noise. "Alright, alright...you win. Drinks are on me," a voice called, laughter following. That was Ashton! Vince was here!
Sophie brought her hands to her chest, trying to keep her heart from beating. The two came into view and her breath caught in her throat. Vince paused and then Ashton went on without him. Sophie knew that he felt her, the soulmate thing gave her away. She bit her lower lip to keep herself quiet and noticed Vince turn, walking in the opposite direction he had been heading in. She cursed her curiousity for getting the better of her, following him through the alleys until he brought her a quiet area. She noticed the train tracks and then the train cars parked on them. Too bad they were further down the tracks.
Vince chose a very open spot.
She hid in that last alley for awhile before Vince's voice ripped through the air. "So, looks like you found me, baby!" Sophie felt her heart jump. Sure, he was being harsh, but him calling her baby really stirred something inside of her. "Didn't think you'd take such dedication! Makes me feel pretty fucking special!"
Frowning, Sophie stayed in the dark. Dedication? She wasn't stalking him if that's what he was accusing her of. They happened to be in New York at the same time! Anger flared through her veins and she stepped out from the shadows, the moment he turned towards it. His ice blue eyes and her own grey green stared back. "You aren't special...just a low life, rapist, and murderer," she hissed, crossing her arms over her chest, standing feet from him.
God, she hated him so much...stupid soulmate principle.
